How to Get Along With (Almost) Everyone on Self-Organizing Teams.

Louise is a conflict-resolution specialist, facilitator, trainer, and Scrum Master. Over the past 15 years, she's helped over 1,500 people in 600+ facilitated conversations to resolve conflict, mend business and personal relationships, and improve team communication and effectiveness. She's worked with people in a wide variety of business roles, levels in their organizations, cultural backgrounds, ethnicities, and conversational and problem-solving styles. She writes and speaks on such topics as "Six Signs You're Being Unwisely Generous with Your Clients - And What to Do About It," "Serving Diverse Populations: Bringing Your Best Self to Your Community," "Being a good listener takes skill, practice," and "All Hail the Loyal Opposition!" Earlier in Louise's career, she was a software developer, a project manager using the waterfall methodology, and a college instructor in Information Systems and Organizational Behavior.

No matter what your role is in the agile space and in your workplace, you'll run into co-workers who are difficult to get along with, team members who won't participate, and stakeholders who are demanding - in fact, you probably already have! Drawing on my experience as a mediator, I'll give you strategies for working effectively with difficult people, navigating incompatible conversational and personal styles, dealing with organizational status differences, and surviving and thriving on self-organizing teams - and any team at all.
