Joanie Lohmann
VP Sponsorship

Joanie is a Senior Technical Writer who started her work life as a software developer. Eventually, she wanted to code in her own language and chose a path to technical writing. She’s been running successful documentation projects in the software development arena for the last 25 years. With skills in project management and business analysis, she has prospered and enjoyed her work tremendously.

Statement from candidate:

In 2017-18, I served as Secretary to the Seattle IIBA Chapter. There, I learned that a Business Analyst can help an enterprise and delivery team look ahead and avoid many of the pitfalls inherent in project delivery. Since I have a very strong Inner-Hero, I felt this discipline was a perfect way for me to help teams. Working with the Chapter Board has brought me a great view of the BA range of skills, many of which I use in my technical writing work. I desire to develop the Sponsorship position to help create a Win-Win for Sponsors and Members alike.
