Transitioning into the Business Analysis Role
Join us for our IIBA Seattle September 27 chapter meeting, in the cloud! We are very excited to have John Lankford as guest speaker.
Transitioning into the Business Analysis Role with John Lankford
Business Analysis is a large, subjective practice at Puget Sound Energy. John will share his experience with identifying business analysis as a career option and how he made the transition after 20 years in IT infrastructure. Attendees can plan for anecdotes and discussion on training, BA role perspectives, interviewing and going beyond the urge to simply learn as many BABOK techniques as possible.
About John:
John Lankford (MBA, ECBA) is a BA in the Puget Sound Energy PMO Shared Services group. He has a BS in Communication from the University of Florida, and a MBA in IT Management from Western Governors University Washington. After a long career in IT Infrastructure, he made the transition to Business Analyst in 2021. When John isn’t spending his free time rooting for the Florida Gators and the Seattle Mariners, he fronts a noisy rock band called The Peregrine Dives.
Due to Covid-19 concerns, this chapter meeting will be held as a virtual meeting. Link to the web meeting will be sent to confirmed registrants prior to the meeting.
